Another Rare Find at Hemingways

Just look at this little gem, John Lennon's first published book, the book consists of short stories and line drawings, often surreal and always nonsensical. It is notable in that it was the first solo Beatle project in any form.

It can be inferred from this little book that Lennon intended no deep meaning, but rather wanted to demonstrate his free-form creative abilities as well as his sense of humor.

  1. Veldkool is out along the coast. Salted from the sea and tasting like fresh beans, it's tasty to eat off the stalk! Loved this book. His description of being 'sondronk' is wonderful. Glad I briefly met him and Marjorie.
